She tells him that she overcame her fear of visibility by creating a persona — she "sharpened my wit and my wardrobe" to become the "most terrifying creature."

So very on point for Leo, the sign of the performer, performance, and drama.

Although this scene is meant to inform us of Simon's backstory, it also speaks to a universal truth:

Everyone has a fear of visibility, even if we manifest it differently.

But there comes a time when we need to cast that fear aside, step into the light, and command the attention we deserve.
